The Treehouse Guide defines a Treehouse as "a structure built in or around a tree which interacts with, and relies upon, the tree for its support. A treehouse ... a sheltered space which may be fully enclosed for protection from the elements." We hope that Treehouse Psychology will be a 'place' of possibilities, support, growth, and nurture, for you.
According to Martin Seligman (2011), the founder of Positive Psychology, "the goal of positive psychology is to measure and build human flourishing". Flourishing relates to positive emotions, engagement (interest), meaning (purpose), self-esteem, optimism, resilience, and positive relationships. At Treehouse Psychology, our goal is to work with you to assist you/your family to 'flourish'.

At Treehouse Psychology we are committed to working with clients using a Strengths Approach, which has, at its core, positive attitudes about people's dignity, strengths, capacities, and rights. The Strengths Approach involves working in partnership with clients in relation to the therapeutic processes in which they are involved. Psychologists providing services at Treehouse Psychology also use the Biopsychosocial approach and the Bioecological Model to ensure that we fully understand all factors influencing an individual's mental health. Our therapists also work within a trauma-informed, attachment focused framework.
