The Treehouse Guide defines a Treehouse as "a structure built in or around a tree which interacts with, and relies upon, the tree for its support. A treehouse ... a sheltered space which may be fully enclosed for protection from the elements." We hope that Treehouse Psychology will be a 'place' of possibilities, support, growth, and nurture, for you.
At Treehouse Psychology, services are provided to people of all ages, in relation to a variety of mental health issues, including, but not limited to:
At Treehouse Psychology we believe that all people should be able to access quality mental health care at an affordable price; our fees are priced accordingly. Medicare or Health Fund rebates may apply.
Counselling sessions with Treehouse Psychology are usually for 55 minutes duration (although family sessions may be longer). In some instances we provide psychological consultations 'in-home'; these are usually referrals from organisations that have a referral relationship with Treehouse Psychology. Self referrals for in-home services will be considered on an individual basis. Family sessions are available (however, family counselling is not eligible for Medicare rebates). For more information about our services (including the option of Telehealth), fees, and days of operation etc. refer to the relevant clinic page for your preferred clinic: Kenmore or The Gap.
According to Martin Seligman (2011), the founder of Positive Psychology, "the goal of positive psychology is to measure and build human flourishing". Flourishing relates to positive emotions, engagement (interest), meaning (purpose), self-esteem, optimism, resilience, and positive relationships. At Treehouse Psychology, our goal is to work with you to assist you and your family to 'flourish'.
